Serving the Lakewood, Edgewater, Clear Creek, Golden and surrounding Metro Denver communities since 1956. Longevity

Lakewood Eye Center, located at 1861 Wadsworth Blvd in Lakewood, Colorado has been in existence and serving Lakewood, Jefferson County and the surrounding Denver metro communities for almost 58 years. Lakewood Eye Clinic has gone through several recent changes in management, but is once again, locally owned and operated. This harsh environment that we enjoy in Colorado, at a mile high, low humidity, pollen, wind UV light, the need for better, more permeable materials for your eyes is critical, requiring possibly more frequent evaluations, This will help you keep from dealing with contact lens problems; before they arise rather than “after the fact”. Help us be proactive in you eyes' health rather than needing to be reactive to the problems. Most problems can be remediated with a lens material change, or solution changes. (OPHTHAMOLOGY)--Cataract surgery

Removal of the cloudy material within the natural crystalline lens of the eye and implanting a new, clear intra-ocular lens to compensate for your prescription. You may still need a slight prescription lens for your vision after cataract removal, to refine your vision further.(ins cvg)

Clear Lens Exchange

Removal of the inner tissue of your natural lens, and compensating for your prescription in the implant itself, and foregoing the need for cataract surgery later in life, simplifying your requirements for prescription lenses to function.

VISIAN

Implanting a permanent contact lens within the structure of you eye to reduce or completely remove the requirement for prescription lens. This procedure has been approved in the USA for several years now, so it is not “new” in that regard, however world wide a new VISIAN implant is placed in an eye every 6 minutes, with remarkable accuracy resulting in great patient satisfaction and comfort.

BLEPHROPLASTY

Repair or lifting of the upper lid for the' baggy' or lid droop that occurs with the soft thin tissue of the upper lid area. Improving and rejuvenating the appearance of eye region for both cosmetic appearance and functional purposes.

PTERYGIUM

Removal of the fleshy, vascularized growth nasal/temporal on the white of the eye that is displeasing in appearance, irritating in comfort, nusiance in function. This growth is typically the result of UV light from the sun, high altitude, dry, dusty, windy environment resulting in a very elevated, inflammed, dry region on the eye. In-office procedure, that results in a more natural appearing eye without the extreme, irritated, red- looking eye.

BOTOX

Injection of the facial regions in strategic areas to get rid of the crow's feet, frown lines, brow furrow, resulting in a more youthful, softening appearance in facial features you have noticed in the mirror lately

RESTYLANE/ RESTYLANE-L

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal system--for that smooth unblemished appearance without the daily/week /monthly waxing fro hair removal. The laser works by actually penetrating into the hair follicle, reducing the hair's ability to grow, with diminishing hair growth to the point of no growth after several treatments over the area. You may need an occassional maintenance treatment depending on hair density and volume.

MICRODERMABRASION

Laser assisted epi-dermal smoothing of the outer most layer of skin to reduce the small, fine wrinkles, blemishes, discolorations and imperfections of your natural skin tissue. Usually most irritation feels no greater than a mild sunburn following treatment with minor redness and tenderness for 1-2 days. This is typically alleviated by mild moisturizer skin care product application, staying out of the direct sun, proper attire and a little patience!

OPHTHALMOLOGIST

Dr. Douglas Campbell is currently performing a variety of refractive surgeries; cataract, clear- lens exchange, Visian ICL’s, LASIK, PRK as well as Pterygium and other cosmetic eye care procedures. Cataract Surgery is the second most asked about and requested surgery that our clinic routinely performs. Today with modern phacoemulsification, small incision and no-stitch surgery, the patient is much more comfortable following the procedure. You can resume most normal activities relatively quickly. The lens implant helps reduce or eliminate in most cases your dependency on the thick glasses and contact lens prescriptions you have struggled with in the past.

OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Craig Finch brings over 25 years of general optometry and refractive surgery expertise with him to the practice. He has an extensive background of 25 years plus with refractive surgery patient care, cataract, clear lens exchange, Visian implants, LASIK, PRK, and Pterygium consultations/ post-operative care. Dr. Finch has extensive experience with speciality contact lens fitting, ocular disease and general optometric family eyecare. We have expanded and strengthened our “family eyecare world” with his addition to the Lakewood Eye Center, and we look forward to providing many years of consistent, courteous, and quality service.
